My Daughter Bride

Once in awhile I share a personal story, especially if it is a big event in my life.  Well, this is one of those days that I have mounting excitement to soon watch my red headed, full of energy, once little girl become my Daughter, the Beautiful Bride. Next week at this time, it will be the eve before the "Big Wedding Day."
When my daughter was little, I had ideas that someday she would get married in the same church I did.  I would have never guessed that my Daughter would want a destination wedding.  But as she matured and grew into a young adult, and daydreamed about finding Mr. Right, and about her future wedding day, she made it clear she did not want the traditional church wedding. Rather, she dreamed of one day jet setting to a tropical island with a small group of family and friends, and doing her vows on a beautiful sandy beach. I thought, okay, that sounds rather nice!
Fast forward to this coming week.  We are jetting to somewhere that has sun and sand, but it is not the beach.  It is sunny Las Vegas, Nevada!  My Daughter did indeed meet Mr. Right and they are very well suited for each other.  Two peas of a pod is how they are often described.  Their love for each other is very evident to all who know them, and what a blessing it is to me as a parent to know my child has found the love of her life, and seems happier and more content than I have ever seen her.  I am extremely thankful, and I prayed on my knees many times for her to find her soul mate.  Thank you, Lord for sending a very decent, kind and loving man into her life that I am proud to have as my Son-in-Law officially in one week.
Yesterday, someone actually asked me if I was upset that there would not be a traditional church wedding.  My answer to that question was "No."  This day is about the Bride and Groom---it is their big day. It is their choice on where and how to exchange vows and celebrate the day.  I am there to celebrate their happiness and share in the biggest day of their life. Their happiness is my happiness. I have told both the Bride and the Groom to not let anybody or anything ruin their big day.  It is about them.
So, begins the last week of hustle and bustle to get prepared and packed, and check off lists and run errands, and as the Mother of the Bride, to primp for the big day. I have my dress, my hair is low lighted and mani/pedicures are scheduled for Monday. I am shopping for shoes to match my dress on Friday night.
My Daughter has been also primping and getting ready for the big day.  The other night this picture came across my phone.....and I had to laugh out loud--because you have to admit, she is so darn cute.  She was doing a benzoyl peroxide mask for her acne break out.  Lucky for her, Dr. Mom, called her a prescription for Doxycycline oral antibiotic to save the day.  I told her.....Dearest Daughter,  you need to read my blogs on these subjects: zit-fix-101.html and bridal-skin-preparation.html and the-bride-to-be.html.
So, I will try to drop a quick blog note or at least a picture next Thursday......as this Dr. Younger You will be out and about in Las Vegas and we have some "woo hoo" fun activities planned for the Bachelorette!

My Heart is Full of Happiness.

Here is to Good Health and Much Happiness,

More Education on Glycerin in Active Hydration Serum by Dr. Tim Falla

5/11/2017

I love listening to Dr.Tim and hearing his explanation on how R+F Active Hydration Serum was created in the lab at Rodan + Fields Corporate Headquarters.  I hope you do too!
I have continued to use and learn about ACTIVE HYDRATION SERUM the past two weeks.  Personally, I am noticing my forehead lines and "laugh out loud" lines diminish in 2 weeks of use.  Many of my follow Consultants are slapping it on their hubby's forehead wrinkles, and I am seeing multiple posted before and after pictures showing how only two doses are making a big difference.  That makes sense, because most men do not take the time to moisturize their faces, so this quick down and dirty fast absorbing serum is to the rescue!  I will repeat that my hands are looking so much better with a few drops applied both day and night-- I can't believe the difference!  Others report using it on elbows, knees, and heels with excellent results.  My blogs  active-hydration-serum-by-dr-katie-rodan-dr-kathy-fields.html and i-love-ahs-active-hydration-serum-by-doctors-rodan-fields.html show my excitement with this new product!
I want to remind you that the main ingredient in ACTIVE HYDRATION SERUM is glycerin.  Glycerin is a sugar-alcohol compound.  It is thick (viscous) like a syrup, colorless, and odorless. It is water soluable and sweet to taste. Glycerin is a natural humectant.  What is a humectant?  By definition, a humectant is a substance in skin products used to reduce the loss of moisture. It has been referred to as a miracle skin serum, and is used in making soaps, anti-aging gels, and moisturizers. It is 100% natural and non-toxic.
The ACTIVE HYDRATION SERUM leaves your skin feeling "dewey" and gives the skin a "natural glow."  Who doesn't want soft and supple skin all over?  I highly recommend this product, without reservation....why not give it a try?

Here's to Good Health and Much Happiness,
Dr. Younger You :)

PS Beginning next week, you will be able to purchase ACTIVE HYDRATION SERUM on my product website DrYoungerYou.myrandf.com

I LOVE AHS- Active Hydration Serum by Doctors Rodan + Fields

5/4/2017

Hello Hydration Nation from Dr. Younger You!  I received my Active Hydration Serum (AHS) this past week and I have been trying it out on different areas. The verdict:  I love, love, love it!
Here is what I have learned thus far, by reading about it, using it and by talking to other consultants. As you recall, I explained in my article active-hydration-serum-by-dr-katie-rodan-dr-kathy-fields.html that AHS is a layering "super serum" that boosts the performance of any of the the Rodan + Fields skin regimens.  Say what?   Yes, the clinically proven skin regimens formulated by the Doctors Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields can work better than they already have been proven to work. That is Incredible.
The research shows that when using the AHS, the skin's hydration is increased by 200%, thereby leading to younger-looking, younger-acting skin.  The research showed that when used with the R + F anti-aging line, called REDEFINE, 100% reported having more radiant skin, and 96% had younger-looking skin.  The REVERSE REGIMEN users (for brown spots/skin damage) reported 96% fewer fine lines, and 70% reported less visible pores.  Do you suffer from acne?  AHS can be used with the UNBLEMISH regimen.  The acne user that added AHS reported 88% less oily skin in the T-zone, and 81% reported less dry skin.  Finally, for sensitive skin users of SOOTHE regimen, 95% saw visibly firmer skin and 86% noticed fewer fine lines.  Those are great percentages.
Not sure which regimen is for YOU?  You can click here now to take the SOLUTION TOOL on my website DrYoungerYou.myrandf.com.  Simply answer a series of questions and the regimen that Doctors Rodan + Fields would recommend for you is generated.  It is free.  You are welcome to email the results to me when prompted, and I can answer any more specific questions.
Here are tips for optimal performance when applying ACTIVE HYDRATION SERUM.  It is made to apply at night, especially if you have oily or combination skin, but for those of you with dry skin, it can be applied twice daily, bothin the morning and at night. AHS works best when layered under a moisturizer or other skin care product.  And it is best to apply after cleansing and toning you skin. If you are not aware, REDEFINE, REVERSE, and UNBLEMISH regimens all contain a liquid toner as Step 2. For SOOTHE regimen, AHS is applied before STEP 2. It is recommended you adjust the dosage based on the "thirst" of your skin. There is no need to wait for the AHS to dry before adding the moisturizer.  It makes sense that the moisturizer locks the ACTIVE HYDRATION SERUM into the layers of the skin. If you use it once a day, it should last for 2 months. It has a small amount of light fragrance.  It is recommended to avoid eye lids and lips. ( I did hear several consultants say it was making their lips less dry,  I guess they did not follow directions!).  Any initial stickiness will disappear as it dries. And it is ok to use on the neck, chest, and hands.  It is not designed to be a used alone product, but once again it works with a moisturizer to lead to smoother, softer, more radiant looking skin.
I have been using Rodan + Fields premium skin care since 2015 on my face, so I found that the amount of serum that comes up in the clear dropper was too much for me. What I am saying is I believe that the skin on my face is not terribly in need of hydration.  Therefore,  I scaled back to applying just a few drops on my face, especially on the deeper laugh lines and forehead wrinkles. Recall the AHS has glycerin and hyaluronic acid. In my article, hyaluronic-acid-in-skincare-and-in-acute-care-patches-by-rodan-fields.html I explain what Hyaluronic acid is, and how it works to fill in deep wrinkles. In just a few days of using ACTIVE HYDRATION SERUM, I do think the deeper wrinkles look improved. The serum is designed to also have a cumulative effect, so I know it will get better with continued and consistent use.  I must admit I noticed the sticky feeling, but cutting back has improved that effect. Like most of R+F products, they are designed so that a little but goes a long way.
I really love it on my hands!  In my article hands-down-your-hands-can-tell-your-age.html I explain how aging can give away a lady's age.   I also did an article nothing-ages-you-like-bony-veiny-crepy-age-spotted-hands.html. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, here is an added answer to fixing your bony, crepy hands. Mine are looking better with a drop or two on each hand after I apply toner.  I have noticed a big difference in a few days, and it is fast and easy to do, and absorbs quickly, which is why it works for me.  My hands are obviously very "thirsty."
You know where else I love to apply AHS?  Seriously, I would love to bathe in the stuff, LOL.  The other area I am also applying it to is my upper thigh skin.  I was noticing aging of my skin there despite regular use of moisturizer.  Wow, I noticed a big difference right away. Once again, fast absorption of some "thirsty" skin. And it makes the skin of your thighs super soft!   Maybe I should have kept this area a secret...oh well!  As I learn more, I will continue to share!
