Here is to Good Health and Much Happiness,
Your Friend, Dr. Younger You ;) ( also known as Hostess Minnie Mouse!)
Hello Friends, Family, Followers: I am super busy getting ready for my 18th year of having my annual labor day party. So, this is another brief blog--and I will get straight to the point. I have this event every year so I can see family and friends, and we can celebrate life's blessings together. Each year I pick a theme, and everyone dresses up. It is more fun than I can explain in this brief writing. This year's theme is Magic Kingdom featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Cinderella's castle....oh my goodness I am having a blast in preparation of this big day! I promise I will share! Live, Laugh, Love. My camp is in the country, but I am even breaking out my fancy punch bowl this year because......why not? Have a great weekend. The rose will be sent Sunday, no matter how late I stay up!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of spending time at the Dublin Irish festival in Dublin, Ohio with my really great friends who are also my business partners on Team Younger You. We hope to make a trip to the real Dublin, Ireland someday! Anyhow, we have been planning the trip to Ohio since the end of Nov. 2017 when I bought tickets for a one day entry fee as my gift to team members in the area. I am all about making memories, which I knew we would do! Weekend getaway trips with great fiends are priceless and good for the soul! Don't you agree? Before we all knew it, August 2018 was here and our bags were packed. I was able to find a really nice vacation rental by owner home in the Dublin, Ohio area. We all arrived on Friday early evening, and then our weekend adventure began. We loved the cabin. It was large and spacious and the best part was it was surrounded by woods and had a huge outdoor deck and fire pit table. The fire pit table was such a nice place to sit around first thing in the morning with our coffee, as well as late in the evening with our wine. The hot tub was not working, but that is story for another time. The place overall was quite lovely. On Friday evening, we ventured into the little town of Dublin, and had a nice dinner on the outside deck of Oscar's. Our waiter was great. His name was Kofi, which means "born on a Friday" in Nigeria. Team member Sharon, who was born on a Friday, was inspired and she is considering naming her skin care biz "Afia" Beauty, which is the female Nigerian name for "born on a Friday'. Overall, the first evening out was great. We ended up back at our cabin, hanging out and listening (Aaron our driver said it was blasting?) to country music. Gina, Lisa, and myself stayed up until 2:30 AM. Gina had us laughing so hard that we cried. Saturday morning we were all up and at 'em because it was Irish fest day! As we sat around the fire pit table, leisurely drinking our coffee, Kate-my sponsor, who I call our fearless leader of Team Bio-gave us a spontaneous talk on motivation and will power. She pointed out that as humans we are not necessarily wired to be motivated, but that motivation comes as a process of small steps being repeated that thereby lead to success. And the success encourages one to repeat the process. Kate is such an inspiration to all of us, and I am grateful for her friendship. We arrived at the Irish fest just past noon. What a well organized, huge festival. It was a very hot, humid day. We were overwhelmed with all the activities, food and drinks from which to choose. Marlene, Team member, had been at the fest before, so she had a full agenda of ideas in mind that she wanted to accomplish--and off she went to watch and learn about Irish dancing and Irish cooking classes. The rest of us ventured through the many vendors of food and Irish items. We chose a lunch of fish and chips from the "Old Bag of Nails" food vendor that the locals directed us to try. As we got our food, we heard music coming from a large tent across the field. We ended up watching a really awesome Irish band called Bearded Bastard Irishmen out of the Pittsburgh, PA area. They really knew how to rock it, even playing AC/DC shamrock style. The highlight was when the guitarist hung upside down off the metal stage ladder while jamming. There was so much to see, but we could not get to it all. There was a giant sand castle builder and walking Irish puppets. We shopped more, and listened to more Irish performers--it was such a grand day! On Sunday morning, there was a large buck, close to the cabin. Marcus, Team member, got many great pictures. He was the happy winner of the R + F Multi-function eye cream too! As we said our good byes, we were all for Thankful for the weekend of camaraderie, friendships, and the R+F opportunity of "Changing Skin, Changing Lives."
