Mineral Peptides to Enhance & Protect Your Skin With A Lesson on Cleaning Your Make Up Brushes

Hello Y2 Friends, Followers & Family! I want to give you some practical yet very important advice on the importance of cleaning your make-up brushes on a regular basis.
Honestly, because I use the # 1 skin care brand in the North America, I do not wear much in the way of make up.  I truly love the skin I am in, and I surely do not miss buying nor applying foundation.   I must admit I used to wear daily liquid/compact foundation (depending on the various ages and stages in my life) in order to even up my skin tone.  But nowadays, fortunately, for me that is no longer the case.  There is truly nothing worse than foundation dripping off of your skin on a hot day or getting foundation stains on your clothes in the neckline. I have been there, done that, but not anymore.  Ladies, I am sure you can relate to my story.
I currently wear only mineral peptides daily.  Forget that sticky greasy layer of foundation--no thank you, and yuk! There is more than that to the mineral peptides..... a perfecting to the perfect process with use of a treat-and-protect product like the one I use. It is called ENHANCEMENTS MINERAL PEPTIDES.  It shields against biological and environmental aggressors and provides broad spectrum SPF 20 sun protection.  What I love most is while my skin is getting protected from the harmful rays of the sun, I also get the benefit of even skin tone and reduction of any red appearance with the light deflecting minerals that I apply.  Another true story, in the past I used a very popular brush on mineral type product--only to have it sit on my skin and look awful.  It went to my make up grave yard---that is a lot of money being thrown away!
How do I apply ENHANCEMENTS MINERAL PEPTIDES?  I use the antibacterial Kabuki brush which has a retractable brush top to help to fend off bacteria.
That brings me to the final part of today's lesson.  Being a Doc, I must admit I am a bit of a "germophobe". Definition of a germophobe: A person with an extreme fear of germs and an obsession with cleanliness.  I can think of many worse obsessions, lol!
Ladies, listen to me.  You need to wash your make up application brushes.  And you need to do it once a week.  There are many recommendations out there on different products including big expensive brush cleaning machines with a huge retail price tag.
For me, I prefer to keep it simple.  I wash my make up brushes in antibacterial soap in lukewarm water.  Dawn dish washing soap is fine.  Many sources will recommend baby shampoo because it is mild and won't harm your brushes. When washing the brushes, you will see the left over make up/blush wash off.  I then rinse the brush thoroughly with luke warm water, and let the brush dry on a white cotton hand towel or wash cloth.  That is another must for your side of the bathroom, fellow Germophobes.  I have many white cotton hand towels and wash clothes that can be washed in hot water with bleach in the washer!  Dollar Tree is my go to store for those items!  Love that store, don't you?

Here is to Good Health and Much Happiness,
Your Friend, Dr. Younger You :)
