| I started this business Younger You LLC about 18 months ago. With any new business, there are many things to do, and one is establishing a logo. A logo by definition is a graphic design, a stylized name, a unique symbol for identifying a business. I wanted my logo to be meaningful as well. My family was the first to try to design a logo picture. While on vacation with my Brother Randall and his family, Randall drew a tree with some roots on it. I was less than thrilled. It was really bad, folks! Lol. A few other relatives tried some designs, and nothing inspired me. I decided to go to someone who designs logos for a living. My friend had a really awesome logo created on the first presentation by a graphic artist and referred me to the business. Of course, for me, the initial designs presented did not touch my heart. I told the graphic artist I wanted a symbol to go with my business name "Younger You" that represented beauty, health, vitality and at the same time it had to be glitzy! I love glitzy things! I decided to start looking on my own for an inspirational logo. At about the same time, I took a trip to Lilydale which is a famous little community of mediums tucked away in the countryside of southwestern New York state. I went with a girlfriend and it was our second summer in a row going there for a visit. We had both signed up for a reading with a different medium. During my reading, which was taped, the medium asked me something to the effect of what is this business that I was starting. Without my reply, she then revealed that both my Grandmothers were there cheering me on and clapping and encouraging me to go for it! That touched my heart, and I knew at that moment that my logo would need to represent the memories of my Grandmothers. I also knew right away that one of my logo symbols would be a rose because my Grandma Furdiga loved roses. And my Grandma Richard had wild roses growing on a white trellis on the side of her house. I knew I was on to something. Another week or so passed, and one morning while driving in my car, I suddenly received the message in my head to include a grapevine in the logo. This was to represent my Grandma Richard who had 2 rows of robust growing grapes on their property. As a child, as "younger me", I would eat the plump dark purple grapes off the vine, and they were divine. That very same day I went on line and googled roses and grapes; it was a unique search. There were some designs, but not a plethora. While looking for designs, I learned that grape farmers will often place rose bushes at the end of the rows of grapes, and that both roses and grapes like the same kind of soil. It was then I downloaded several designs and sent them to my graphic artist. She went to work. And after several presentations of roses and grapevines and print options for the words "Younger You", I chose the design which I have today! I thank my girlfriends on my Team Younger You for helping me to decide as well. I would like to dedicate this blog to both of my Grandmothers who were each very special women in my life! My Mom's Mom is Anna H. Furdiga. She was born March 27, 1918 and died February 1, 1988. She was a wonderful cook/baker, and when we went to her home for any visit or the holidays, she prepared wonderful feasts. Her perogies were the best in the world! She was funny and had a warm and inviting personality to all she met! She always treated me so lovingly. When I was in college, she and my Grandfather would come pick me up and take me out to eat.She will always be in my heart. My Dad's Mom is Esther Richard. She was born November 8, 1900 and lived to be almost 91 years young, when she passed away on April 15, 1991. Grandma Richard was also a great cook and baker. She and my Grandfather always had a huge garden. She had an old fashioned sewing machine and often times when we visited, a quilt was set up that she was hand quilting. She did not like to have her picture taken. She taught me that a woman never tells her age! She wore dresses and stockings daily most of her life, until finally I recall she got some pant suits! She was down to earth, yet such a classy lady. Today, as I prepared for this blog, I looked through many albums. My heart was sad (and I will admit I cried) because I miss and loved my wonderful Grandmothers so much, but at the same time, I am happy for the wonderful memories they have left in my heart. By the way, today I looked up the meaning of a coral colored rose, and it stands for desire, fascination, enthusiasm, and energy! Quite fitting for my Biz, if I do say so myself! I loved this story. It made me think of my grandmother on my mother's side. I never knew my dad's mother as she had passed away before I was born. It made me think about how much the older generations in our families teach us so much. Thank you so much for sharing.

The messages sent from far above are often stronger than we expect or are aware. Look around at your home and in your mirror and you too will see the connections. I didn't know your grandmothers, but knowing you, I know you will put your heart into your business just as your grandmothers did their cooking and baking. Each dish required a special mix and your clients/patients will each receive an individualized 'dish' from your heart. Best of luck to you.
